Job Description:

• Mobile App Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable Android applications.
• Code Optimisation: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, with a focus on performance and responsiveness. Identify and address bottlenecks and bugs.
• UI/UX Implementation: Work closely with designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces. Ensure seamless integration between the front-end and back-end components.
• API Integration: Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance app functionality and data exchange.
• Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of applications, including unit testing and debugging. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
• Platform Compatibility: Stay updated on the latest Android platform updates and ensure compatibility with various devices and screen sizes.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize application performance, keeping up with best practices and industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other developers and team members to achieve project goals. Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements:

• Engineers with 1-6 years of experience in shipping consumer-facing Android apps with the large user base, ideally currently available on the Google Play Store.
• Top-notch programming skills in Java, Kotlin and Android along with MVVM, Dagger2, Room, LiveData, Coroutine & JetPack-Components.
• Command of memory management, view hierarchy, battery optimisation and in-depth experience with multi threaded and networked applications.
• Worked with Restful APIs, third-party SDK Integrations and common technologies like HTTPS, JSON, OAuth, and SQL.
• Thorough working knowledge of Android Studio with the Gradle build system.
• Understanding the quirks of the fragmented ecosystem of Android OS versions and devices.
• Focus on Material Design principles and pixel-perfect implementation of the design into code.
• Solid experience with Git Care for quality with an obsession for performance and willingness to spend time testing the team's work as well as yours.

• Part of the core team responsible for powering the various apps and moving parts of the product
• Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code.
• Integrate third-party API's.
• Release applications to the Apple and Google Play stores.
• Design new and re-design existing user-facing features
• Design, build and own key technology decisions and implementations
• Wear multiple hats - that of an architect, developer or product owner
• Collaborate with other team members to find optimal solutions and engineering workarounds based on resource/time constraints
• Communicate development status and features to the rest of the team members
• Manage interactions with designers, testers and other developers
• Define and enforce front end coding standards, accessibility and other technical standards

Required Skills :

• 4 - 6  years of overall software development experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in Native React
• Highly proficient in rendering components with Native APIs
• Highly proficient in JavaScript, modern JavaScript, HTML, 
• Highly proficient in one or more libraries (e.g. Redux, React Router, etc) for state managing and routing in addition to React.
• Proficient in using Git as a control system 
• Experience with collaborative code development in small agile teams and managing releases (Git, Gerrit, Continuous Integration)
• Outstanding understanding of software design and architecture
• An understanding of React Native best practices and a commitment to following them.
• Ability to work through new and difficult React Native issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of React Native applications.

Kiko is looking for an experienced React Native developer to join our Engineering team. You will be working with our engineers to develop and maintain high quality mobile applications.

As a Mobile developer, you'll collaborate with internal teams to develop functional mobile applications, while working

in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you should be able to design and build the next generation of our mobile

applications platform.

Responsibilities

1. Work as part of a small team to build React Native iOS / Android applications.

2. Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code.

3. Technical design of complex mobile applications.

4. Implement pixel perfect UI's that match designs.

5. Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience.

6. Integrate third-party API's.

7. Write unit and integration tests.

8. Release applications to IOS and Google Play stores.

9. Work with native modules when required.

10. Ensuring the best performance and user experience of the application

11. Guiding team members for design and implementation tasks.

12. Co-ordinating end-to-end implementation.

13. Cooperating with back-end developers, designers, and the rest of the team to deliver well-architected and highquality solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. 3+ years of professional experience working with React Native- Preferred

2. 3-6 years of professional software development experience

3. Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.

4. Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store and the Android market.

5. Ability to take extreme ownership over your and team’s work.

6. An understanding of React Native best practices and a commitment to following them

7. Ability to work through new and difficult React Native issues and contribute to libraries as needed

8. Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of React Native applications

9. A positive mindset and can-do attitude

11. Good hands-on experience in GIT

• Manage high-level architecture and design data flows in the Android and iOS app in (Dart, Flutter framework)
• Add new features and automate functionalities in backend hosted on Firebase (Typescript, ReactJS framework)
• Setup Marketing and Analytics tools in the app to get relevant daily usage insights and target users in different campaigns. (3rd party tools, Mixpanel)
• Experiment with the live data stream from wearable IoT devices to generate insights using ML models in production.
• Deploying ML models in production to be used inside the app community section.
