About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Web Hosting & WordPress SysAdmin to help us manage and maintain our growing fleet of client websites. This is a behind-the-scenes, operations-focused role - you’ll be responsible for keeping websites running smoothly, secure, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage shared hosting environments (primarily SiteGround, some legacy cPanel).
• Perform plugin and core updates on live and staging sites, with version control and rollback awareness.
• Handle domain transfers, DNS updates, and SSL certificates via Cloudflare and Synergy Wholesale.
• Monitor uptime and alerts using tools like Site24x7 and Ghost Inspector.
• Troubleshoot bugs, errors, and site performance issues (e.g. 500s, white screens, slow load times).
• Coordinate site migrations and backup restores as needed.
• Support developers and account managers with fast, accurate technical resolutions.
• WordPress code audits and performance improvements for Technical SEO.
• Email deliverability testing and troubleshooting (DMARC forensics; WordPress SMTP contact form setup).
• Implementing and troubleshooting tracking pixels via Google Tag Manager (GA4; Google Ads; Meta Pixel; LinkedIn Pixel).

Must-Have Experience

• WordPress administration and plugin troubleshooting.
• SiteGround hosting and/or cPanel/WHM familiarity.
• DNS management (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) via Cloudflare.
• SFTP, phpMyAdmin, MySQL.
• Understanding of caching and performance optimisation.
• SSL setup and renewal (Let’s Encrypt, SiteGround, or Cloudflare).
• DNS setup for email deliverability (SPF/DKIM/DMARC).
