Azure DevOps Engineer

We are looking for two Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Mumbai-based infrastructure team for a critical on-premises deployment project. This role is focused on transforming manual, legacy deployment practices into structured, secure, and compliant processes within a Windows-first, latency-sensitive environment.

The successful candidate will drive the creation of SOPs, deployment pipelines (without containerization), and a staging environment to support a hybrid stack of ASP.NET MVC (.NET), MS SQL Server (replication mode), and Java microservices with MySQL. This position requires on-site presence in Mumbai due to regulatory and infrastructure constraints and will play a key role in ensuring compliance with SEBI, RBI, PFMI, and IOSCO standards.

Key responsibility would be to lead deployment modernization efforts in a secure, on-premises environment based in Mumbai. The role involves working with legacy Windows infrastructure, ASP.NET MVC apps, MS SQL replication, and manual deployment processes. No containerization or CI/CD tools are in place, so we’re looking for someone who can establish automation and structure from the ground up.

Mandatory: On-site availability in Mumbai, strong experience with manual Windows-based deployments, regulatory compliance awareness (SEBI/RBI/PFMI).

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitOps practices. 
• Kubernetes Management: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and scalability of applications. 
• Cloud Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others. 
• Infrastructure as Code: Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. 
• Monitoring and Logging: Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure. 
• Automation: Identify and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reliability. 
• Security: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of products. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a DevOps role. 
• AWS: In-depth knowledge of AWS services and solutions. 
• CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar. 
• GitOps Expertise: Proficient in GitOps methodologies and tools. 
• Kubernetes: Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration. 
• Scripting and Automation: Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar. 
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. 
• Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar. 
• Version Control: Strong understanding of version control systems, primarily Git. 
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. 
• Collaboration: Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

 Troubleshooting and analyzing technical issues raised by internal and external users.

 Working with Monitoring tools like Prometheus / Nagios / Zabbix.

 Developing automation in one or more technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, Puppet, Chef will be preferred.

 Monitor infrastructure alerts and take proactive action to avoid downtime and customer impacts.

 Test, build, design, deployment, and ability to maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery process using tools like Jenkins, maven Git, etc.

What you should have

 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or any related field.

 3 - 6 years of experience in Linux / Unix, cloud computing techniques.

 Familiar with working on cloud and datacenter for enterprise customers.

 Hands-on experience on Linux / Windows / Mac OS’s and Batch/Apple/Bash scripting.

 Experience with various databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL.

 Familiar with AWS technologies like EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, etc.

 Must know how to choose the best tools and technologies which best fit the business needs.

 Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD processes using tools like Git, GitHub, Jenkins etc.

 Excellent organizational skills to adapt to a constantly changing technical environment

Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a focus on scalability, security, and cost optimization.

- Collaborate with development teams to streamline the deployment process, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of software applications.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

- Utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles to create and manage infrastructure deployments using Terraform, ARM templates, or similar tools.

- Manage and monitor containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or other container orchestration platforms.

- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud-based infrastructure and applications.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues, working closely with development and operations teams.

- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure and applications.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and automation.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

- Minimum of four years of proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and deployment automation.

- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Security, and Azure Monitor.

- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.

- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration platforms, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Docker Swarm.

- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with relevant tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.

Position : Devops Engineer – SDE3

Responsibilities

• Develop Collaborate in large-scale systems design discussions.

• Deploying and maintaining in-house/customer systems ensuring high availability, performance and optimal cost.

• Automate build pipelines. Ensuring right architecture for CI/CD

• Work with engineering leaders to ensure cloud security

• Develop standard operating procedures for various facets of Infrastructure services (CI/CD, Git Branching, SAST, Quality gates, Auto Scaling)

• Perform & automate regular backups of servers & databases. Ensure rollback and restore capabilities are Realtime and with zero-downtime.

• Lead the entire DevOps charter for ONE Championship. Mentor other DevOps engineers. Ensure industry standards are followed.

Requirements

• Overall 5+ years of experience in as DevOps Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer

• B.E/B.Tech in CS or equivalent streams from institute of repute

• Experience in Azure is a must. AWS experience is a plus

• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and containers

• Proficiency in developing and deploying fully automated environments using Puppet/Ansible and Terraform

• Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios/Icinga, Prometheus, AlertManager, Newrelic

• Good knowledge of source code control (git)

• Expertise in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment setup using Azure Pipeline or Jenkins

• Strong experience in programming languages. Python is preferred

• Experience in scripting and unit testing

• Basic knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases

• Strong Linux fundamentals

• Experience in SonarQube, Locust & Browserstack is a plus
