What are we looking for?

• BTech, MTech in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent). Or high technical acumen and rich technical experience.

• Experience of 3-7 years building Android Applications.
• Strong expertise on building consumer-facing Android Apps with either Java or Kotlin, with strong programming constructs.

• Worked on building two or more Android apps
• Experience of managing E2E life cycle of Android Apps including play store deployments and post-deployment support.

• Experience of working with ReactNative would be a plus.
• The ability to independently lead problem-solving and build elegant, maintainable solutions to complex problems.

• Experience mentoring junior engineers
• Prior experience in working with Agile software methodologies ( Scrum, Kanban), TDD and Continuous  

   Intégration(CI/CD) a plus.

• Track record of building and delivering mission critical, 24x7 production software systems

What does the core role include?

• Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
• Designing stateless components in React Native
• Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Working with the developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps
• Working with the developers to build the interface with a focus on usability features

What can fetch you brownie points?

• Hands on experience with React Native is required
• Hands-on experience in React Native APIs, ReactJS, Javascript, ECMAScript (OOJS) and JSX.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript ecosystem
• Hands on experience on Android in creating Hybrid / Native applications
• Demonstrable UI/UX experience on a large-scale app.
• Thorough understanding of React Native development tools like IDEs (Nuclide, Atom, Sublime Text, or Visual
• Good knowledge of JS frameworks like ReactJS is a plus.

What will you do? (but not limited to)

• Design, develop, and maintain our mobile applications using either Flutter or React Native, ensuring high performance and responsiveness across both Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate closely with the product and development teams to design and develop innovative features that align with our mission and user needs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices, and conduct code reviews to uphold high-quality code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade the software to ensure optimal performance, security, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and improvement.
• Drive architectural decisions and lead efforts to scale and improve our codebases.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand and address their needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Who can apply?

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mobile Application Developer with a proven track record in developing and deploying mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Proficiency in React Native, with a deep understanding of cross-platform mobile development and app architecture.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (for React Native), and familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio, IntelliJ, and other IDEs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to think algorithmically and a keen eye for debugging and optimizing code.
• Experience with app development languages such as Swift, Kotlin, or Objective-C and with utilizing RESTful APIs for backend integration.
• Proficient understanding and utilizing code versioning tools, such as Bitbucket.
• Experience in a startup environment and building products from scratch is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions based on a balance of data, experience, and judgment.

- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code

Skills

- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services

- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”

- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common

tasks

- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

- A knack for benchmarking and optimization

- Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

• Primary Skills: Xamarin and  WPF
• Mandatory skill: Xamarin. Forms & WPF
• Experience in designing and developing Xamarin applications (mainly xamarin forms).
• Good knowledge of C#.Net.
• Understanding and implementation of MVVM design pattern.
• Good to have knowledge in other design patterns as well.
• Experience with Agile/ mobile dev-ops methodologies.
